It started with a notebook.
When we founded inyad in Casablanca, many merchants around us were keeping track of customer credit the same way they had for generations: names and amounts written by hand in a notebook.
The notebook was simple. Familiar. Free.
So, rather than asking merchants to change how they worked, we built Konnash, a digital credit book designed to feel as simple as the notebook it replaced.
Hundreds of thousands of businesses adopted it, and it taught us something that still guides how we build today: technology shouldn't ask businesses to catch up with it. It should meet them where they are, and grow with them.
The notebook became a platform.
What began with one simple problem grew into a much bigger ambition.
We expanded from credit bookkeeping into point of sale, invoicing, inventory, staff management, payments and financial services, building a platform for businesses with very different needs and levels of complexity.
Today, inyad serves everyone from independent shops to companies managing multiple locations and millions in transactions.
Where we go from here has no borders.

We started inyad by solving one of the simplest problems a business has. Today, we're solving some of the most complex.
What excites me is how far that idea can go: building technology a business can start with today and still rely on years later as it grows in size, complexity and ambition.
What the businesses around us in Casablanca taught us still shapes how we build: make powerful technology accessible, stay close to the people using it, and never confuse sophistication with complexity.
